After 2 to 3 copyworks, I make boys study them together with words from vocab list (see my post on Vocabulary) where I will then select for dictation and spelling. <br />This is how I do it NOW. Like their service.<br /><br />Can't recall where I got CHOW (too many years ago). Could be from Rainbow or Sonlight.<br /><br />For history, both CHOW and SOTW reads well if you are not homeschooling. CHOW weaves it all into one story. SOTW works better for me because each chapter gives smaller chunks of info and is more suited for the coverage of one "lesson".
